Japanese Drama of the Week: "Hana Yori Dango"

Since this Blog is going to talk about the greatest things in the Japanese Pop Culture, we have to talk about this phenomenon that has been shocking japan since "terebi" was introduced into the island: the "dorama" or simply, television dramas, that appears weekly on the television, and that consists in 11 or 12 chapters, sometimes, if the "dorama" is a hit, then the network makes another season, or a special.

Today's "dorama" is simply on of the biggest dramas in Japan, lasting 2 season, and ending with a MOVIE (yes, a BIG screen movie, also a succes in the box office), this drama is called "Hana Yori Dango" or "Boys Over Flowers" and is based on the wildly popular Manga of the same name, tells us the story of a binbo (poor) girl, that goes to japan's most exclusive High-School, just to suffer to the bullying of the "leaders" of the school, the group called "F4" (Flower 4) which are the heirs of Japan's most influential enterpreneurs.

Is a nice comedy that also involves a lot of romance, action, and of course, drama, you can't miss it, you can watch full subbed episodes @ http://www.mysoju.com

Morning Musume, the super girl band of Japan

Welcome to "The Best Of Japan". This new Blog wants to talk about the greatest things in Japanese (pop) culture. And for the first post i want to talk a little about my favorite japanese girl band: Morning Musume (eng: Morning Daughters), the grup was formed by Japanese producer "Tsunku" back in 1997, with originally 5 members, nowadays, none of those girls are in this grup, and most of the "former musumes" have succesfull careers in the Japanese scene, now the grup consist of 9 super kawaii girls, 7 japanese and 2 chinese. Morning Musume is also the leader group in the "Hello! Project" company, also created by "Tsunku" that is formed by 3 main groups (Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou & °C-ute), one soloist (Mano Erina) the "Hello Project eggs (Idols in Training), counting a total of 49 girls in the project, also being reagrouped severa times in "units" like: High-King, Guardians 4, Buono!, Milky Way etc.

But now i want to talk about the real News here, Morning Musume will release their 40th single at august 12, with a commemorative edition as well as a regular and limited editions with different DVD's, we have the full PV (Promotional Video) here, take a look:
